'Collateral: Dear John'; interview with eCharta

So, recently I did this interview for the guys over at the website eCharta, a blog and auction-site dedicated to paper-based products including comics, stamps, and memorabillia; I'd love it if you'd head on over and have a read of our conversation about the comic I illustrate called 'Collateral: Dear John', and all of my other illustration related shenanigans, including influences and inspirations and what-not.

You can find the interview here:

'Larry' badge packs

So, I've been writing a perzine called 'Larry' for the past three years now, and before I get issue six done, I thought I'd get some badges printed whilst ordering some stuff from Portland Button Works; then I made 'em into 'ickle badge packs, y'see, with one badge for each issue cover, stapled together with a printed bit of cartridge paper. Sorry for the crappy, blurry photos, but if you'd like a pack, just let me know, and I can send one out with copies of anything else; only 20 packs made!

You can go here to keep up with all of my zine-ing shenanigans:

Thanks... :)

'The Screever' issue two - on sale from Glass of Spit

So, issue two of me and Nat's zine 'The Screever' is now on sale from the Glass of Spit webstore thingy for a quid, which is pretty much just to cover postage / a bit of printing cost. There'll be an additional postage charge for deliveries outside of the UK though. You can visit the shop here, where you can also buy a copy of the 'Snow in September' e.p on CD or cassette:

You're more than welcome to trade something with me for copies if you'd prefer. Zines, drawings, letters, or anything would be lovely really; feel free to drop me an e-mail at lee_taylor_87@hotmail.co.uk, comment on here, or add / message me on We Make Zines at http://wemakezines.ning.com/profile/LeeTaylor.

Thanks a lot...

'The Routes We Wander' issue two; a 24 hour zine

In July of this year, I took part in the '24hour-zine-thing' challenge for the second time, and made this little A6 zine that features a bunch of location drawings and rambling on a couple of subjects. It's 24 pages, black and white, and printed on recycled paper. As usual, just let me know if you'd like one...
There are a couple more pics on my WeMakeZines page at

'Collateral: Dear John' issue one

So, at the beginning of this year, the first issue of me and Matt Nicholls' comic, 'Collateral: Dear John' was printed. A twelve part comic drama, it explores the side of a world 'blessed' with the presence of superheroes that is seldom seen: that of a family forced to deal with both the physical and emotional consequences of their often destructive actions.
I have a bunch of copies that I'm trying to sell off for about three quid; they're about twenty pages, standard comic size, and printed on quite nice paper. Feel free to e-mail me if you'd like a copy...

Oh, and you can also follow the progress of our little project on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/collateraldearjohn ; I believe issue two is at the printers right now...
Thanks for reading...

'Larry' issue five

Additionally, the fifth issue of 'Larry' also came out some time last year; it's A5, 32 pages long, and photocopied in black and white. As always, each copy is hand-tied, numbered, and has a little window cut out of the cartridge paper cover.
Writing in this issue includes social networking, zine fests, living with a smoker, and a bunch of other stuff, with illustrations throughout. I made 50 copies, most of which haven't even been put together yet, and the rest are lying in a shoebox somewhere, so just let me know if you'd like one...
Thanks for reading :)

'Larry' issue four

So this came out well over a year ago now, but for some reason I never posted about it (or pretty much ANYTHING for the past year), but for those that never got a copy, or never heard about it, issue four of 'Larry' exists...
It's A5, 32 pages, black and white, and as always printed on recycled paper. Each one is hand-tied, numbered, and has a little window cut out of a cartridge paper cover using a slightly crooked ruler.
Content in this one includes job-hunting, sports, walking, a guide to stretching paper, and a bunch of other things, with illustrations throughout, but the scan quality on the drawings is pretty rough this time around.
Forty copies were made, and I still have a tonne left as usual, so please get in touch if you'd like to trade, or just take one off my hands and free up some space in my shed...
Thanks :)

It's been time...

I recently realised that it's been nearly two years since I posted anything on here... that's REALLY not good, so I'm going to post some new stuff VERY soon, including stuff about a comic I'm currently illustrating, more issues of 'Larry', a 24 hour zine that I completed yesterday, and a bunch of other stuff in order to keep myself motivated, and to entice you back into following my 'ickle blog :)
Take care, and I'll keep you posted!

'Larry' Issue Three...

Due to various other aspects of my life taking precedence, this issue has been severely delayed on several occassions, however after approximately three months in the making (somewhat intermittently), it is finally finished...
Larry issue three is A5, 32 pages, black and white, and as always printed on recycled paper (though this time it's 120gsm paper as oppose to 80, so it's a little heavier...). Each copy is hand-tied, numbered, and has a little window cut out of a cartridge paper cover, this time using a sharper scalpel, but with a rather crooked ruler.
Content in this issue includes friendships, promiscuity, visual identity, a guide to the drawing technique of sgraffito, and a bunch of other things, with illustrations throughout.
I've made fifty copies and would love to trade them for stuff, so if you'd like one please get in touch...
Thanks

'24 Hour Zine Thing' 2010

For 24 hours beginning from 9am on Monday 26th July 2010, I took part in the '24 Hour Zine Thing' (for more information, visit 24hourzines.com), and created this little 24 page A6 piece titled 'The Routes We Wander', consisting of twelve location drawings and a fairly abstract written narrative.
If you would like a copy, please get in touch.
Thanks...
