New music...

New music and stuff...

So yeah, I recently finished up a new CD and cassette under my solo post-hardcore thingy called MERRIDEW, and here's the proof. I can't guarantee that you'll like how they sound, but they look so good that even Cecil the Rat can't keep his eyes off them. They'll go up on Bandcamp soon to listen to for free, but in the meantime, message me if you're into physical copies, or you can listen to track four HERE.

Thanks an absolute tonne! :)

Nottingham Zine Fest 2014

So, being the complete berk that I am, I forgot to take any photos from my day tabling at the BRISTOL COMIC AND ZINE FAIR yesterday, but needless to say it was pretty rad (especially discussing the fine line between biscuits and chocolate bars with my fellow table-sharer Nuala...); cheers to everyone that bought zines, patches, badges, and noisy music.
Next up is the NOTTINGHAM ZINE FEST at Sneinton House this Saturday (11th October), which you should definitely try to make it down (or up) to if possible, especially since they've added a load of new stuff this year; should be good!

'The Screever' issue six

So, I've been working on a bunch of stuff recently that I'll post about sooner or later (hopefully the former), but in the meantime, as you may have read over on my other blog, issue six of 'The Screever' zine was released a while ago, and you can now buy it either alone or in a bundle with a cassette and scene report for £1 and £3 respectively from here:

Thanks a tonne :)

Interview for 'Zegema Beach Records' / 'Open Mind / Saturated Brain' Blog...

So yeah, I answered this interview about all of the stuff that I make, including for MerridewSperare, and me and Matt's Collateral Comic for Dave at Zegema Beach Records for his rather class blog, 'Open Mind/ Saturated Brain'; feel free to go over and give it a read here if you like:

You should really go and support this dude's pages and blogs and stuff too while you're there, because he seriously does amazing things to help folk; it would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot... :)

Inverness, Scotland drawings...

So yeah, a couple of weeks ago, I went to visit my friend Nat again, who lives up in Inverness in Scotland. It was a pretty lovely trip (thank you Nat!), and though it was pretty darn foggy the whole time that I tried to take photographs, the other day I made a few drawings from those that I took. And yeah, here they are...

Thank you for having a look! :)

Updating / 'Routes...' issue three review...

So, as specified in a previous post, this year I'm trying to keep a little more 'on top' of this here blog, as I seem to have let it slip of late; thus, today I've updated all of the pages that needed doing so, and added a couple that, for some reason, decided not to be here in the first place.
In doing so, I also recalled this review of my '24 Hour Zine' from last year, lifted from the Tumblr of the lovely 'Foggybottom Press'; it'd be lovely if you'd go and give it a read, and also check out their own zine called '& Octopus', because it's fab...
Thanks a bunch :)

24HZT pins and a lovely new patch...

24HZT pins and a lovely new patch...

So yeah, had a lovely rainy afternoon in, listening to Lemuria and applying these to my backpack. The last of these badges arrived a while ago for my participation in the rather wonderful 24 Hour Zine Thing event (copies of my last effort are available on request), making it up to three years running, and here they are pinned to a rather beautiful patch that I ordered some time ago from Portland Button Works.

I don't really make new year's resolutions; if you want to do something or make something happen then I think it should be done for yourself, and not for the calender; it just so happens that it's at the start of this year that I feel I DO need to do just such things, and hopefully this lil' patch will go some way towards reminding me and other folk that everything isn't always as dire as it seems... :)
